Haus Vlietländer

Overview

For the Haus Vlietländer project, a manual for the vacation home was essential. Considering the modern preferences of the homeowners, a departure from traditional laminated booklets was desired. The conventional booklets, prone to getting dirty or creased, tended to discourage visitors from perusing them.

Instead, the information has been seamlessly transitioned to a website organized into various sections: “Inside the House,” “Outside the House,” “House Rules,” “Leaving the House,” and even “Help to Call an Ambulance.” Each section is further broken down into blocks accompanied by relevant icons, ensuring a user-friendly experience that is easily comprehensible across all age groups.

Elements

Navigating the website

The website has been segmented into multiple sections, covering topics such as “Inside the House,” “Outside the House,” “House Rules,” “Leaving the House,” and even “Help to Call an Ambulance.”

Translating the website

The website has been constructed in English, with the added capability of translation into German. Given the house’s location in Austria, incorporating German was deemed essential by the owners. The translation process was conducted meticulously and manually to ensure the optimal outcome.
